Together, we can work through your stress, trauma, fears, low self-esteem, and/or relationship challenges. I work with individual adults and older adolescents who want to get more out of their life, their relationships, and/or their work. I approach my work with passion, empathy, and a respect. I excel with clients who are going through transitions or rethinking their path (moving, starting college, graduate school, new career/unfulfilling work, break ups, new parents, and more).

I utilize EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy as needed. Specialties include, individuals, couples, family therapy and parenting and child/adolescent issues. I practice in the New Orleans area., I have had a psychotherapy practice for over 30 years. I have served on several college and university faculties including having served as an associate professor in psychiatry at Tulane Medical School; a graduate of Tulane University School of Social Work. I have presented original papers at international conferences, am published and have a CD about coping with stress.

Christina is a Licensed Professional Counselor and has over 10 years of experience working with clients of varying backgrounds with moderate to severe mental health issues. She received her Masters from Southern University A&M College in Mental Health Counseling. She also received her Bachelors from Louisiana State University in Psychology with a minor in Leadership Development. Christina uses a multitude of therapies to assist clients for an engaging therapeutic experience. She is located in the Mid City area and is accepting new clients for evening counseling appointments.

Since 2014, Counsel NOLA has offered a variety of counseling services that reflect our singular focus in helping individuals and families remain safe, connected and thriving. We use techniques that have been shown to be effective and provide services that help keep families out of more restrictive interventions. We strive to enhance each parents’ ability to make decisions, communicate better with their children, and be more intentional in their part.
