In the famous words of Eric Matthews, (BMW) “Hey bro, life’s tough, get a helmet!” If only it were that easy, right!? This statement from my old sitcom obsession hit deep the first time I heard it, but has really engraved itself deeper the older, more experienced with life I have gotten. I’ve learned very quickly and/or the hard way that walking around with a helmet on wouldn’t make much of a difference at all and would probably just add to the stressors and hardships of life. Today’s world is different. Today’s world is hard. Today’s world can be scary. But most importantly, you don’t have to go through today’s world alone.

It is hard to have all these sucky feelings and have no one to turn to for support. Unfortunately, many people out there will say “Depressed? Isn’t that just a fancy word for feeling bummed out?”, which I am sure makes you want to scream. That is where I come in!

I offer an open and nonjudgmental space for clients to discuss their challenges for the purpose of resolution. I have spent the last 12 years working in the child welfare system resulting in extensive experience working with children, families and the juvenile justice system. I am also experienced in working with various populations, including interracial families, those who identify as LGBTQ+/SOGIE, and multicultural families.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Practitioner whose approach to therapy is individualized based on my clients' needs and personal background. I will establish a safe and secure therapeutic environment, free of judgement and pre-conceived notions. I strive to provide you with a therapeutic experience that is both genuine and provides unconditional acceptance to help gain your trust as I help you develop the skills needed to reach your goals and be successful in your therapeutic journey.

I work to build a space of non-judgment and acceptance so my clients can be seen exactly as they are without fear, so we can find the path forward together.
