A well of shame has pooled up inside, brought on by years of trying to squeeze yourself into the narrow definitions of sexuality forced on you by society. You’re left feeling alienated and unsure if you will ever find the kind of true connection that you crave. You know deep inside that sexuality is meant to be wonderful…but something is holding you back. Fear of rejection. Fear of judgement. Fear of not being enough. Fear of not knowing what to do. Fear of being alone.

I believe that therapy is a cooperative process that requires a strong, safe, trusting relationship between a client and a therapist. I'm a believer in having a general practice. I work with a broad variety of persons from about middle school through elderly years. Within that age range, I do about half my work with kids, teens and early adults. I also do a lot of work with persons with depression, anxiety, and serious psychotic illnesses. Although I am not a 'religious therapist,' I do work, if the patient wishes, to weave in the patient's religious perspective (not mine) into their therapy process. I work with LGBT persons.
