Joanna Saint Jacques is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s degree from the University of Central Florida. Joanna has experience using psychodynamic skills including cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy. Joanna uses client-centered and solution-focused interventions, and helps with exploring healthy coping mechanisms.

I strive to create a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, so that I can meet my clients where they are at and provide space for exploring their concerns. I approach therapy as a collaboration between myself and the client - together we will identify treatment goals and examine pathways for reaching these goals. I attempt to understand my clients on multiple levels, including culture, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age and ability status. I have experience working with adolescents and adults in a number of areas, including: coping with anxiety and depression, life transitions, identity development, grief and loss, and relationship concerns.

My passion is helping individuals and couples create deeper levels of emotional and sexual intimacy. Dr. Jacob has specialized training in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) & Related Disorders (Tourette's Disorder, Trichotillomania, Body Dysmorphic Disorder, Skin Picking/Excoriation Disorder), as well as other Anxiety Disorders (Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia, Specific Phobias, Panic Disorder, Selective Mutism). She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from UGA, where she specialized in anxiety disorders. She then completed a 3-year fellowship at the USF Rothman Center for Neuropsychiatry, providing weekly and intensive treatment for youth and adults with OCD, anxiety, and related disorders.

CBT is a short-term treatment modality that has been scientifically proven effective. It focuses on the "here and now" by teaching coping and other tools that have proven success. Services include consultations, expert diagnostic evaluations, and treatment via videoconferencing throughout the world. For bipolar disorder, I often work with couples and families, as well as individuals affected by the disorder.

My career started many years ago in Mexico. I'm a bilingual therapist and I studied Psychology were at the same time I earned a Specialty in Human Development and Psychotherapy for Adolescents. I have worked with many families, adults and kids since I was in Mexico but once a moved here to Florida I completed my Masters in Mental Health and Family Therapy. Patti's practice is in Boca Raton conveniently located off Florida's Turnpike on Glades Rd. She provides individual, group and family therapy to children adolescents and adults. Patti specializes in Play Therapy helping children in a wide variety of problem areas including anxiety, bullying, divorce, school behavioral issues, trauma, grief, depression, and seperation anxiety. Patti offers Behavioral Observations in Preschool settings and can make behavioral-treatment plan recommendations to teachers, schools and parents.
