I use a variety of techniques to match the needs of each client throughout each session. I primarily use DBT, ACT, and IFS therapeutic modalities. These techniques emphasize mindfulness, personal strengths, resilience, and choice. Additionally, I use compassion and explore my clients’ values to gently challenge them to find more effective ways of getting their needs met. At times I use improv, humor, and a conversational and dynamic therapeutic style to create a judgment-free, supportive, and safe environment; disarming the self-critic; and allowing my clients to express themselves freely.

Holding hope for clients until they are able to hold it for themselves is a calling I feel honored to provide. My ideal client is one that has experienced trauma or crisis in their life, usually with their family of origin, struggles in relationships, has experienced anxiety, abandonment, or questions their identity and sexuality. Maryland location is in person ONLY! I provide support for children and teens who are struggling with anger, stress and self-esteem issues. Individual sessions will help youth to recognize unhealthy patterns, learn new skills and process feelings. Parent sessions will help to educate parents on the tools that the youth have learned and to provide psychoeducation. Family sessions are provided to help youth practice skills and for the family to make change and strengthen the family dynamics.
