I thoroughly enjoy my work as a therapist and have worked with children, adolescents,adults, families,and couples. Since my husband and I are in practice together we often work as co-therapists with couples who come to us with relationship or marital issues.

I work with adults of any and all backgrounds, particularly LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients. I lead my sessions with trauma informed care, and I am specialized in grief, depression, anxiety, and sex therapy. My focus is with teens and adults who have experienced trauma such as domestic violence, physical and emotional abuse, abandonment, grief/loss, PTSD, as well as those who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, ADHD, mood disorders, and codependency. I also work with clients seeking guidance as they make major life transitions. I have extensive experience working with clients who have experienced homelessness and have been in the foster care system. With more than 25 years of experience, I will help you identify the root causes of issues, and to develop effective strategies to take charge and have the life you deserve.

My ideal population is adults struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, stress, or substance use - however I believe that everyone deserves to have a therapist who is dedicated to them, and I would never turn away a client unless their needs were out of my scope of practice. My ideal client is someone who is motivated for therapy and is willing to learn.

I enjoy working with young adults into their 30s and beyond who are struggling with any level of anxiety or depression. As our world attempts to simplify through technology and continues to change, it brings with it a changing culture and way of life that is not always helpful for our mental health. Many of us tend to put the world on our shoulders, but forget to care for ourselves. The pressure to "be successful" and fit society's expectations and timelines is a lot to carry. Rather than just managing this anxiety, we can figure out what goals and values are truly your own.

I’m a straight ally working with adolescents, young adults, and adults around depression, anxiety, trauma, substance use, and pandemic-related issues. Even after more than 30 years, I remain deeply passionate about my work and continually humbled by my clients' resilience and innate strength. I especially enjoy working with young adults, women in transition, and queer or questioning folks. Hi! I'm Kate and I have a special interest in working with adults (18+) dealing with self-esteem/self-worth issues; grief; recovery from the effects of physical, sexual, and emotional trauma; toxic relationships; and those dealing with strenuous, intrusive, or difficult parent/adult-child relationships. I believe that improving our interpersonal relationships, and as well as understanding recurring themes in our lives, are imperative for a better understanding, acceptance, respect, compassion, and love for ourselves. Having an eating disorder can feel overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to control your life. I help you or your teenager understand the function their eating disorder has played in their life, and how to create a healthier way to move forward, free of the eating disorder’s rules and fears. When working with teens, I also help parents better understand their child’s experience and how best to support them. While I specialize in eating disorders, I also support clients through parenting, divorce, career transitions, and managing the stressors of everyday life, including break-ups and the often-tricky transition into adulthood.

I am a Pennsylvania Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been in the counseling field for over 15 years, working with, teens, young adults and the elderly, who have issues ranging from anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD and Autism (ASD). I also bring experience in the area of pastoral and spiritual counseling that many times is helpful to one’s mental health. I hold an MA in Theology and a Master’s degree in Divinity from Christ the King Seminary.
