I am a licensed clinical psychologist who works with adults, adolescents and children on a variety of issues including anxiety, stress, depression and relationship problems. I specialize in therapy designed to target the root of your problem. If you are new to psychotherapy or if you have been frustrated by previous treatments that have only provided short term relief, my therapy might be the right choice for you.

I treat adults and late adolescents on their own, in relationships and in families, and couples.
In my years of practicing I have found that everyone can profit from counseling, psychotherapy, or psychoanalysis, depending on their need. I collaborate with my patients to help them better understand and remove the psychological and social barriers that inhbit them from being content and satisfied with their lives.
I treat many kinds of patients in many psychological and life situations. I have found that many problems have been life-long, and unfortunately only when they becone too painful and interfere with their lives do people look for help. Sometimes these problems are most acutely felt at times of transition.

Most of us don't welcome difficult emotions; we try to disregard them, because we perceive them as our enemy. In fact, all of our emotions are signals that inform us about ourselves and the world around us, if we can learn to listen to them. When we accept all sides of ourselves and all of our feelings without discriminating against the negative ones, we are able to feel emotionally alive and connected. Psychological suffering occurs not because of our painful emotions, but because we try to erase them, and don't know what to do with them.

I have worked for more than a decade in a variety of settings with adults from different walks of life.
As a therapist, I aim to create a safe emotional space where you will feel increasingly comfortable expressing your feelings and thoughts. I imagine therapy as a journey, a process of transformation from a place of suffering to a place of healing and see my role as that of a fellow traveler and a guide who listens to your experience and helps you create your own story. Being able to find words to match your experience and have someone witness that moment is a deeply freeing process, that leads to symptom relief, greater self-awareness and a more meaningful life.
