I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact on the lives of children, adolescents, adults, and their families. Through my diverse work experience, first as a special education teacher and now as psychotherapist I have witnessed first hand the struggles of families and individuals of all ages, facing a wide array of issues including, among others, depression, anxiety, ADHD and substance abuse. Through counseling, I work together with clients to identify and understand the source and nature of the challenges they face and to help them formulate effective solutions to such challenges.
A key principal of my practice is to build collaborative therapeutic relationships with my clients through a variety of counseling techniques including play therapy and integrative, evidence-based psychodynamic approaches.I strive to maintain a non-judgmental, empathetic and reflective environment in each and every client counseling session.
My practice is founded on a strength-based perspective which emphasized the unique abilities of each client as I strive to assist them in creating positive, long-lasting changes in their lives and in the quality of their family and other interpersonal relationships.
