Additionally, I have extensive experience in supporting immigrants, international students, individuals with disabilities and clients who were impacted by COVID-19 looking to recover, overcome challenges and become more resilient.

I went into this field because I noticed the lack of representation within the Mental health community as it pertains to the Black community. I feel our community (and POCs) could benefit from culturally competent counseling that centers their individual experience and identities. Generational trauma and systemic racism have severely impacted the lived Black experience. Stress levels that are associated with being Black in America, can be linked to health disparities. Lack of representation, mistreatment, lack of knowledge, and misinformation of mental health within the Black community is enough to want to contribute to the change.

I am a clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of experience in the counseling field. I am licensed in New York as well as in New Jersey. In therapy together, we will work on recognizing patterns of behavior, thinking, emotions and relating that have led to current undesirable outcomes in life.
