There are times in one's life when difficulties arise that need the help of a specially trained listener. I can help explore these challenges in a safe, authentic, nonjudgmental atmosphere. I have been a psychotherapist for over twenty years and have over nine years of advanced training. I work with teenagers (14 and up) and adults suffering from a variety of personal, emotional as well as social problems. If needed, I work in collaboration with psychopharmacology.

Youth & Family Counseling Service (YFCS) has promoted the mental health and well-being of youth, families and the larger community. We are a private non-profit social service agency. The YFCS team of family-friendly and experienced psychotherapists, social workers, and counselors provides safe and confidential care while adhering to the highest professional standards. YFCS is dedicated to the empowerment, respect, safety and trust of our clients through education, advocacy, support and science-based clinical intervention. Each prospective client is matched with the therapist who possesses the knowledge and expertise most appropriate to meet their needs.

I feel the ideal client is anyone who is seeking help. With that in mind, we need to remember that accepting help also means being open to change. Treatment needs to be about accepting that the way we have been doing things hasn't been working.

I am a strong believer in people's strengths, potential for growth, healing and self-realization. I specialize in working with people who tend to shut down or look for quick comfort when facing the stress and challenges of life. I help my clients understand their triggers and learn new coping skills that help them feel healthier and more confident.
