Each person experiences mental distress uniquely. My aim is to partner with my client to ensure their safety in our shared space, create a bond of trust, and then dive into problems and solutions. Whether one experiences identity- or event-based problems and whether those are caused by individual development or social conditions, I strongly believe in the innate ability of trusting partnerships to overcome the troubles in our lives. If I'm not the right therapist for a person, I will work hard to keep them safe until they decide how to move forward.

As a seasoned psychotherapist with over 25 years of experience, I work with both individuals and couples and specialize in working with women. I am experienced and comfortable working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, relationship difficulties, trauma, stress, depression and life transitions. Grief and losses of all types are special interests. It is certainly not necessary though to have identified a problem, as I also work with people who are feeling stuck or unfulfilled in life to find ways to move forward differently. Couples most often contact me to work through relationship problems and restore connection.

I have enjoyed helping people with stress, anxiety, depression, abuse (emotional, physical, sexual), addiction/alcoholism in the family, couples, self-esteem, dissociation, and attachment issues. I offer EVIDENCE BASED PSYCHOTHERAPY to individuals, couples and groups as a licensed psychologist since 1991. Change can be hard sometimes, but also rewarding and empowering. I am always honored to be a part of each client’s change process. Our collaborative work will focus on your hopes, goals, and the tools you already have to help you achieve them. We will identify unhelpful thoughts and patterns and work to restructure them to your benefit.

I provide a safe, confidential space for our work together. Each person seeks a therapist for their own personal reasons. Whether you feel stuck at an impasse, want more satisfying relationships, or seek freedom from difficult patterns- no matter your struggle, having a place to think and talk about what is bothering you may help. The outcome of therapy is unpredictable, though it often results in a greater sense of well-being and eases internal conflict. Together we can seek to understand what is going on and explore possibilities not previously considered.

I work with trans, nonbinary, and gender questioning individuals and loved ones seeking support in navigating gender related issues. This may mean help clarifying one’s own identity, navigating relationships with others, or accessing various types of gender care. I provide both ongoing therapy, as well as short-term therapy focused on providing letters to access gender care.  I work over telehealth only, and like to do a free 15-minute consult before we get started working together to make sure we are a good fit.

My practice is rooted in self-compassion, curiosity, and embodied healing. Together, we will work collaboratively to help untangle internalized narratives, discover blocked parts of self, and enhance mind-body awareness to support you in reconnecting with your self-worth, self-trust, body wisdom, and inner creativity. In sessions, I strive to create an empathic and creative space where you can bring all parts of yourself forward. Our time together will involve gaining a deeper understanding of your story, creating holistic goals based on your unique life circumstances, and working towards meaningful change.

I am at capacity and am NOT accepting new clients at this time. Through my work as a therapist, I accompany people on a journey of self-discovery that fosters healing, promotes growth, and empowers them to overcome obstacles and challenges that stand in the way of leading fulfilling lives. I believe that an open, honest and collaborative relationship is the foundation of the therapeutic process. I work with my clients to cultivate genuine trust and rapport that makes this relationship possible.

Seeking support is courageous and a strength to be cultivated. Throughout life we encounter hardships, losses, and transitions, often uncovering emotions and experiences that are difficult to sit with. Despite obstacles there is an inherent human capacity for learning and growth, and in therapy we explore how to tap into these inner resources and break free of patterns that no longer serve you. Through introspection, curiosity, embodiment, and authenticity, I believe you can come into better relationship with yourself and others.

Dually licensed as a Mental Health and Alcohol & Drug Counselor, I work with adults, adolescents and families using a goal-focused approach to effect positive change. With a mix of cognitive-behavioral and client-centered theory I work with you to define your issues of concern and create the means to achieve the results you desire.

Welcome! I currently have openings for supervisees who are acquiring the necessary hours for state licensure. I also have limited openings for couples' workshops or intensives, or those interested in holistic healing retreats. I help clients with deepening their understanding of themselves and their patterns. I offer guidance and support with relational issues, anxiety, personal transitions, and suppressed creativity & vitality. While working together, we may focus on thought processes, feelings and mindfulness, in order to support positive relationships, emotional health, and increased awareness & empowerment.

I work with people who wish to improve their quality of life through self-understanding and self-compassion. I believe that our minds and bodies are doing the best they can to keep us safe and alive in the face of unmet needs and unjust social systems, and that each person embodies a deep wisdom informed by their unique life story. Sometimes, protective patterns that were once necessary during challenging or traumatic experiences no longer serve our wellbeing.
