As a cognitive-behavioral psychologist, I help clients understand how thoughts directly impact feelings and behaviors. Clients and I will work together to identify the automatic thoughts that accompany feelings such as anxiety, sadness, frustration, and anger. When we're anxious or upset our thoughts are often inaccurate and overly negative. When we start listening to these thoughts we can learn to replace them with more accurate and constructive ones, ultimately resulting in more positive feelings and behaviors.
