I believe that compassion for oneself is the key to feeling better. When we can stop idealizing and stop trying to be what we're not, we can learn to have compassion and acceptance of who we really are. Accepting our human condition with its limitations, leads to self-knowledge, which leads to growth and ultimately to comfort within ourselves.
While I treat individuals, couples and families, I also have a specialty in Group Therapy and I am on the the faculty of NYU's Graduate School of Social Work. I specialize in adult, child, adolescent, play therapy and parent education for the past 25 years.
A great deal of my work is focused on alleviating stress in order to maximize one's creative potential and enjoyment of all that life has to offer.
