I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is licensed in California, Georgia, and North Carolina. I have been working in the mental health and substance abuse field for over 10 years in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. When I am not practicing therapy I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my partner of 9 years and our four children aged 8, 6, and 3 yo twins, and our menagerie of animals. For self-care, I enjoy reading, practicing yoga, and going on nature walks with the family.
My therapeutic approach to providing therapy is primarily CBT but use a variety of other evidence-based interventions to best suit the needs and presenting issues of clients. Other approaches that I commonly use are CPT, ACT, Mindfulness-focused strategies, and systems theory.
I have experience working with individuals aged 5 - 99 years old and specialize in anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, PTSD/trauma, substance use disorders, women's issues, LGBTQ+ issues, relationship issues, and major life transitions.
