I provide a supportive and collaborative approach to therapy. I believe it is important to teach clients strategies to use throughout their life, so that when they leave therapy, clients feel more confident to cope with future difficulties in a positive way. Learning skills along with self exploration can lead to progress in a shorter amount of time. Clients of all ages can benefit from this approach.
My specialties include child/adolescent issues, parenting skills, sexual abuse, victims of crime, and mood/anxiety disorders. I primarily utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach, teaching healthier ways of coping, anxiety reduction skills, and positive thinking to improve mood and behavior.
My background includes intensive training in adolescent therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and other skills based therapies. I provide individual therapy, family therapy, and parenting. I also provide help to victims preparing for trial.
