I help people who see their lives impacted by anxiety, depression, sexual concerns, feelings of guilt and shame, low self-esteem, and relationship conflicts. We can work together to uncover and heal the roots of challenging thoughts, feelings, and behaviors so you can find joy in a life that you live according to your values. I specialize in working with people who want help exploring sexual orientation, gender identity, pleasure, kink, polyamory, and concerns about sex (anxiety, pain, dissociation, unsatisfying relationships), as well as those who have experienced sexual or religious trauma.
I practice sharing power in the therapeutic relationship by thoughtfully bringing my full self to the table. My therapeutic style is interactive and conversational. I incorporate investigation into ways systems of oppression (white supremacy, capitalism, the gender binary, anti-fatness, and ableism to name a few) impact our mental health and relationships.
Self compassion is a key component of my work. Some parts of my identity are that I am cis, white, queer, straight-sized, sex/poly/kink positive and a survivor of an evangelical Christian upbringing. I aim to provide insight through feedback, in addition to helping you come up with practical things you can do to start making positive changes right away.
