It is both brave and difficult to seek therapy. However, sometimes we just need someone to hear our struggles and our stories. I often find that as the old joke goes; we often need to talk about the people who should be in therapy but refuse to go! My goal is to provide you with a non-judgmental environment where you feel safe and can explore the challenges you face.
I primarily treat mood disorders like depression and anxiety and specialize in the treatment of bipolar disorder. I also enjoy working with people who are struggling with adjusting to major life changes. In addition, I have extensive experience working with trauma and am currently working on becoming a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP).
My background is in cognitive behavioral therapy, but I also utilize reality therapy and solution focused therapy approaches. I am an LGBTQAI+ affirming therapist and am multiculturally competent.
