8/18/24 - I have one after school appointment available and one mid morning appointment available. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 19 years of experience working with children, young adults, adults and families. I work with young children ages 3 and older utIizing Adlerian Play therapy, art and sand therapy. I also work with adolescent and adults. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns such as depression, anger management, ADHD, anxiety, abuse and trauma, adoption and attachment, parenting struggles, and grief and loss.
I went into counseling because I have a strong desire to help people. I do not see it as my job to “fix” people but to help people try to understand who they are. I want to help them find what is unique about them then help them fit that into what they want to be. I believe that who a person is in this world is more important than individual things.
A person who can contribute to society is in a much better place than a person who does not or cannot contribute anything to people around them. I do my best to be real with my clients. I do not need to put on a façade to care or be with my clients. It is my hope that most clients will leave a session with me feeling deeply cared for and truly listened to.
