I am Adriene M. Robinson, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker whose focus is family relationships, personal adjustment issues to life transitions, unresolved adult and childhood issues particularly various issues of abuse and trauma. I believe there is a need to provide behavior and coping skills for the child and/or adults in either individual or group sessions. Further, the parents/ caregivers and seniors who may be raising grandchildren.
Clients both children and adults who are experiencing mental health discomfort and are responding to life issues. This may be resolved by understanding the cause and history of their discomfort. It is important to emphasize the emotional response is what needs to be assessed and addressed. Clients will be encouraged to identify their goals and priorities.
Guide the client/ family in identifying mental health priorities. Cognitive Behavior, solution focus, PTSD resilience is among the specialties offered. Children who are often diagnosed with ADHD may also be impacted by not only their behavior issues but also their family history which also needs to be addressed in therapy.
