For adults, I provide: comprehensive neurocognitive assessments, capacity evaluations (finances, medical decisions, consent to treatment, living independently), pre-surgery evaluations (neuromodulation, bariatric, amputation), Fitness for Duty evaluations, ADHD, Autism, and psychological evaluations. For children over 6, I provide ADHD, Autism, intellectual functioning, and psychological assessments. I also provide psychotherapy for adults and couples.
A cognitive eval includes an assessment of comprehension; memory; problem solving ability; attention/concentration; mental flexibility; impulse control; and personality changes. Capacity evals assess the ability to manage finances, make medical decisions, and/or live independently. Psychological evaluations assess current psychological functioning.
Evaluations can be used for diagnosis, treatment planning, to assess the need for supportive services, and/or to include with applications for financial assistance (e.g., SSDI).
