Hello, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with 12 years of experience. I understand that each person seeks therapy for their own unique challenges; therefore, therapy should not be a one-size-fits-all approach. My therapy orientation is an eclectic one. I am well-versed in Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered, Attachment Theories, and Art Therapy. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Play Therapy. I am certified in EMDR.
I strongly believe that therapy works best when clients feel comfortable with their therapist. Therefore, I incorporate person-centered approaches and motivational interviewing techniques to help build rapport. I always work at the client's pace of readiness.
I am comfortable working with clients of all ages and backgrounds. I have extensive experience doing trauma work, anxiety, depression, anger, emotional dysregulation, and play therapy. I also incorporate an LGBTQ- Affirmative approach to therapy.
