The past few years have been unprecedented. People who have never sought mental health services before are finding themselves in need of emotional support and therapeutic intervention. People are dealing with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts as well as a multitude of life stressors. I have worked in mental health services for the past eight years and saw firsthand how the pressures of today are causing individuals and families to find themselves at odds with their own world view. Some want answers on how to get to a new form of normalcy. It is clear that the world has changed and what worked before, may not work now.
I want to provide the stable support needed to help people recognize what is important to them, build on their strengths, identify what they have now and what is needed to move forward in a positive manner. With the appropriate support and encouragement, I believe each individual has the capacity for change and the ability to take charge of their own life.
My years of experience prepared me to deal with issues related to marriage, family conflict, grief, divorce, self-esteem, substance abuse, trauma and much more.
