As a former member of the National Gymnastics Team of Venezuela, I’ve experienced firsthand the importance of balancing mental, emotional, and physical health in order to achieve personal goals. My years as an elite athlete taught me that our mindset and emotional well-being are just as critical as physical ability, not only in sports, but in every challenging situation life may bring. These are strengths we all possess, but sometimes we just haven’t learned how to develop them yet. Now, as a counselor, I bring that same understanding into my work with clients.
I see clients who are trying their best, yet feels weighed down by internal struggles, like anxiety, low mood, performance pressure, or emotional challenges they can’t name. They may be a student navigating academic or social pressures, a young athlete facing mental blocks in competition, or an adult seeking clarity and direction in their lives.
