Meaningful change is possible, and it starts with taking the risk to do something different. That is brave work, and I am here to support people in doing it. I believe it is possible to relate to any experience in ways that help us grow. That doesn't mean it is easy. Life comes with difficulty, and it can be harder to navigate if we have not been able to address the impacts of past adversity and missing pieces. I've found self-compassion to be key in healing and growth, and it can be cultivated. My approach is collaborative, direct, and supportive. I welcome people as they are, and am open to learning from my clients.
Because we all have different strengths, needs, and ways of learning, I employ a diverse skillset. EMDR, trauma-informed approaches, and ACT are at the heart of my practice. I frequently work with people who are experiencing multiple challenges, and use methods with demonstrated efficacy in that process. My work is informed by research related to
the neurobiology of trauma, attachment, anxiety, and change, and I see applying what we learn through research as an essential part of being an effective therapist. I view it as a privilege to be a part of the work people do in the process of becoming more peaceful and free.
