Life is full of surprises and sometimes it is difficult to know how to handle these changes. I am dedicated to providing a professional, caring and respectful environment which encourages clients to collaborate in identifying areas of concern and individualizing goals. Through a combination of therapeutic techniques that are research-based and effective, clients learn ways to cope with those changes that were once viewed as troublesome.

I have experience working with adolescents, young adults, and adults who are facing life transitions and mental health challenges. I have a broad range of interests including trauma, depression, anxiety, barriers related to disability, self-esteem, identity development, mindfulness, women’s issues, adoption, and attachment concerns.

I am an independent, licensed and board certified, psychologist. Working with people in a kind and respectful manner is extremely important to me. I have extensive experience with clients from children (3 y.o. and older) through adult (including elderly). I provide a welcoming and relaxed office environment. I believe that working collaboratively is a very important part of the therapy process. Focusing on what is most important to you is essential. I strongly believe in an individualized approach to therapy, each persons history and concerns being unique in nature along with the approach for addressing those concerns.

I specialize in therapies with children and adolescents. I help children learn skills to cope with anger, anxiety, ADHD, and behavioral issues while supporting parents in gaining a better understanding of their child/adolescent's behavior.

Parenting is difficult as is, but throw in trauma, mental health, and/or chronic illness, and it can feel like we're always treading water with no end in sight. As a chronic illness mama myself, I know how hard it can be to balance caring for our health & our kids! For over 10 years, I have been working with children, teens, & adults. I love working with parents & kids to assist them in meeting whatever goals they have from reprocessing trauma, building self esteem, or managing life transitions. Life can be hard, & I love helping others to recognize all the things worth celebrating in it especially themselves!

I have a passion for helping people re-experience themselves. Sometimes it is necessary to share your story with someone who can be objective and give you an alternative perspective. Life comes with many struggles, and there are times when managing them can seem difficult. We imagine our feelings as chains that hold us down. The energy we once had to live and love, no longer seems available. When we walk in shame and fear we give others our power and become powerless. We often fall into old patterns that don’t work for us any longer. We can feel stuck.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, families and aging adults. I have worked with clients in the school, home, office and nursing home settings. I understand that every client has a different amount of experience in therapy or the mental health realm and it is my job to help mold their counseling journey to be a positive one. I enjoy helping clients find creative coping skills and forms of self-care. Together we can find new ways of re-framing and processing their triggers, symptoms and stressors. I appreciate working with clients who enjoy trying a variety of methods in a therapeutic space.

I enjoy working with children (ages 12 and up), adolescents, and adults. I have a passion for helping to make positive changes through developing healthy ways to navigate through life struggles and learn effective strategies to live a more balanced life. I have experience working with a variety of ages in a variety of settings; including outpatient, schools, college counseling centers, day treatment, and intensive residential treatment facilities.
