Are you struggling with a particular issue or just can't shake the feeling that there should be more to life? Has your child experience trauma or having difficulties balancing adolescent challenges? I can HELP! Trained as a generalist, I have worked with both children and adults to decrease symptoms of depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), abuse (sexual and physical) attention deficit disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, grief and loss, self-esteem, psycho-education (safety and social skills, assertiveness, communication, and parenting), and anger management. Additionally, I have developed an special interest in working with trauma and adoption related issues.
I have provided field-based therapy for local agencies. I work in the area of post adoptions in my full-time position and certified as an Adoption Competent Therapist through the Center for Adoption Support and Education. Additionally, I am rostered through the NC Child Treatment Program in Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
My mission is to provide a safe space for children and adults to confront life challenges and learn healthy coping skills to resolve or minimize challenges. I am available for evening and Saturday appointments.
