My present focus is with children 4-12+ years of age. Specific areas of mental health training have included ADHD, Learning Disorders, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (ND-PAE), trauma and grief/loss as well as methods for working with angry and/or dys-regulated children. Treatment modalities include Child-Centered Play Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy. Cognitive Behavioral approaches are utilized when deemed appropriate. Since my practice is with children, a special focus is additionally placed on working directly with the child’s parent (s)/caregiver (s).

All of our clinicians have specialty training in pregnancy and postpartum difficulties, miscarriage, traumatic birth experiences, unplanned or teen pregnancy, infertility, abortion, intimacy and other women’s health issues. We also help women struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, toxic family relationships, painful childhood memories, divorce, breakups and all kinds of other general concerns.

My therapeutic partnership history is with folks who have not seen themselves reflected or heard in traditional wellness or therapy spaces. Some focus areas are complex trauma, substance misuse, and severe mental illness, highly sensitive/empathic folks, ASD and neurodivergent folks, strengthening self-compassion and building shame resilience, navigating liberation and justice, trauma-informed work, body liberation + supporting those recovering from diet culture and body stigma, furthering gender, racial liberation, and those impacted by the criminal and family court systems.

It is my belief that every person has the ability to heal from whatever stressful life events one has experienced and/or challenge one is currently facing. My treatment methods are diverse and creative, individualized to meet a person’s unique qualities, developmental age/stage and therapeutic needs.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with almost 30 years experience. My work is collaborative, strength based and often playful. I have an extensive background in working with family systems through the lens of attachment theory. Over the past several years I have shifted from family to individual work with adults, utilizing a model of psychotherapy called Internal Family Systems. I find this model an empowering and dynamic way of helping individuals get to know parts of themselves, thus taking charge of their own healing.
