​Hi, My name is Lori Arceneaux. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 20 years of experience in adoption and maternity services as well as counseling. I have a particular interest and expertise in working with those touched by foster care and/or adoption. For the majority of my career, I have worked with children and teenagers. I enjoy working with these age groups and assisting them with navigating the often complex emotions that accompany adolescence. Also, I work with families and couples who are in need of assistance of strengthening and improving their relationships and addressing their life stressors.

I have a special interest in providing mental health support for conception, pregnancy, postpartum, adoption, and infertility. I work with individuals (10+), couples, and families who are looking to take steps toward healthier relationships and increased wellness. When working with children, I view the child as a member of the family and not in isolation. As a result, parents will be included in sessions. I also enjoy working on parent-child relationships from the parent side, helping parents to form healthier relationships with their children and improve the overall wellbeing of their families and home lives. I have experience with depression, anxiety, life transitions, parenting struggles, family and relationship issues.

Kara Clark is a licensed clinical social worker with years of experience in adoption, mental health, marital and family relationships, and addiction. Kara values a holistic approach from an attachment and trauma perspective while utilizing different modalities of therapy to meet the needs of her clients.

It takes strength and courage to reach out for help. I have faced many challenges in childhood, as a mom, and in a relationship. I believe that the healing work I have done with these challenges has helped me to better show up with compassion and humility. We are all in this together. I work from a somatic body based trauma informed lens. I use the following modalities: brainspotting, cognitive therapy, music therapy, creative arts therapy, psychodrama, EMDR, experiential therapy, coaching, psychodramatic body work, advanced integrative therapy, and I am a Brene Brene Brown Daring Way Facilitator.

I have a dual client base working with those in the LGBTQIA+ community and those in the adoption community. My clients in the LGBTQIA+ community experience fears of rejection, isolation, and anxiety. Being in the closet is a lonely and scary place, but it does not have to be, if you let me in. As I learn more about who your are, we can develop your strengths and increase confidence, so you can live your life as the person you were born to be. I also help adoptees who might have self-identity issues, "who am I", "where did I come from", "should I find my biological family?" I will help you answer these questions.
