I have extensive experience and training in family therapy. I manage issues with teens (12 and up) and blended families. I am also very experienced in dealing with a variety of mental health issues (Including issues on the Spectrum and ADHD), and issues concerning school academics. I treat substance abuse issues among teens and adults. I also utilize a variety of techniques to help married couples and those couples dealing with divorce and sexual issues. As a former College athlete, I can help those experiencing anxiety and pressures in a variety of sports.
My past experience teaching at KU keeps me updated on current research and therapeutic, evidenced based models. I continue to present at various work shops and most recently presented on "work place bullying" and a current and increasing issue "Gaming addiction in teenagers".
"How can I help my child have a good school year?", is a question a lot of parents ask from elementary through College. I strive to help families manage through the stress of managing school (including College), and getting the best education possible with the least amount of stress.
