When we encounter difficulties in our lives we are effected in physical, emotional, cognitive and spiritual ways. I work to help my clients understand how their history impacts them on many levels and how our past, overtime, creates patterns of communication and sets the stage that determines how we deal with life's ups and downs. If we can gain understanding of the past and connect the dots between where we began and where we are today, then we can begin to heal and create new effective ways to communicate, build healthy relationships and realize more fulfillment in our lives.
I combine traditional counseling approaches with mindfulness based psychotherapy for a complete approach to change. I use a variety of counseling modalities to help my clients identify needs, set goals and create change in their lives. I treat all mental health concerns and specialize in issues surrounding family conflict, relationships and divorce.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I have experience providing crisis intervention in a hospital setting, treating patients in community mental health centers and private practice.
