I join people where they are. That might be on the floor with a four-year-old, co-writing and illustrating epic adventures on giant sketch pads. It might be commiserating about a teen's difficult breakup or staggering homework load. Or it might be talking together about the stresses in a couples' life -- young children, difficult co-workers, no time for intimacy. I welcome teens, adults and couples to my practice. My areas of specialization include ADD/ADHD, ASD, relationship issues, loss and grief, recovery from trauma, anxiety, and depression.
We learn together about what is working well for you and where there may be areas of concern. Developing together some ways to act differently under familiar, challenging circumstances can sometimes be a key to feeling better.
As a former school social worker and college adviser I can sometimes be helpful with academic and career concerns. I am currently meeting via telelhealth exclusively.
