I specialize in providing therapy to couples. As a relationally-trained therapist, I bring curiosity to the ways circularity works in couple relationships: how are patterns co-created and maintained? Through a collaborate and creative process, clients will grow individual and relational self-awareness. Together, we will consider the importance of validation and curiosity in reducing conflict. I support clients in naming emotions, needs, and hurts, so that they may become bids for connection, instead of hidden sources of detachment.
My approach is warm, understanding, inquisitive, and analytical. I seek to create an emotionally safe environment. I am a strengths-based clinician meaning I will always search for and emphasize the strengths and competencies of my clients. I value feedback and aspire for the therapy experience to feel collaborative and balanced for all members.
I love to work with couples navigating the tasks of different life stages: premarital, transition to parenthood, divorcing/co-parenting, fertility challenges, blending family, working parent challenges, empty-nesting, retirement-facing. And, I work with a variety of other presenting problems including infidelity, ambivalence, high-conflict, chronic illness.
