Hi, I'm Trish Demasky, an LCSW licensed to practice in Florida and Maine. My focus is working with adolescents, teens, and families on gender issues, PTSD, trauma, and family issues. I have a holistic, client centered approach and employ numerous therapeutic approaches such as EMDR, poly vagal theory, CBT, Solution Focused, and DBT. My client base consists mostly of those with a trauma history, those suffering with PTSD, gender dysphoria, and family issues. I would be honored to be part of your journey on the road to empowerment and wellbeing.

I offer an eclectic approach to a diverse group of populations throughout the entire lifespan; utilizing several types of therapeutic modalities including: cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, psychodynamic/psychoanalytic, psychoeducational counseling, humanistic, existential, relaxation training, sports-exercise psychology, family systems, as well as mindfulness philosophies and techniques. During our initial consultation, information is gathered through the use of various assessment techniques in order to specifically identify problematic areas. During the early formation of the therapeutic relationship we will create goals that can be empirically measured in order to statistically track patient progress and maintain quality assurance.

Most of us are stressed and overwhelmed on a daily basis. Life can be a balancing act of juggling work, family, and pleasurable activities. I'm skilled in teaching and implementing techniques that can aid in reducing anxiety and help you cope with stress and pressures from daily living. Additionally, I treat relationship issues, teach healthy communication and conflict resolution. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, I provide services to children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. I'm licensed in the states of Florida, New York and Washington and can provide treatment via video anywhere in these states.

This is an affirming, no hate, no judgment space. Growing up in the foster care system gave me a unique perspective on the key elements of resiliency and processing trauma. We offer a Therapeutic After School program M-F, as well as In-Person and Telehealth Services.
