I specialize in three types of clients - couples hanging on by a thread, men who are less than thrilled at the idea of attending therapy, and individuals that live under a constant state of performance pressure. As someone who has lived and survived all three of these scenarios personally, I've got a ton of empathy and a box of tools ready for people motivated to achieve change. Whether you're picking up the pieces from infidelity, exhausted from fighting about the same tired topics, or struggling to escape the voices in your head that beat you down, I'm honored to pull up a chair next you and begin sorting through the mess.

I am passionate about helping others improve their lives. I enjoy helping people reach their full potential. My experiences working in private practice, college, and a community mental health center have allowed me to work with a wide range of people and their concerns. I collaborate with numerous physicians and family practices in Hot Springs. My practice is different from other offices. My office is very relaxing and private. Having worked as a LCSW for over 24 years, I assist my clients in identifying the strengths and skills they already possess. Then strive to work with them to find practical skills that fit their lifestyle and are useful in helping them reach the goals they have set for themselves towards a much happier and peaceful life.

My ideal client is any person struggling emotionally with anxiety, depression, identity issues and family conflicts. These are just a few of my passions in assisting clients to learn skills for a more emotionally fulfilled life. This begins by improving self-worth and self-esteem through setting attainable goals geared to each individual needs in order to reach their potential self. I am Licensed Professional Counselor whose professional and personal experiences have lead me down the path to helping clients of all ages with life's daily struggles. I provide individual and family counseling for children, teens, and adults for a wide range of mental health disorders such as, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, PTSD/Trauma, anger management, sexual abuse, self-harm, parenting Skills, grief, and ADHD.

My passion is helping families thrive. I want to help adoptive families and people who are caring for aging parents. I know the frustration of raising a child with attachment injury and being part of the sandwich generation where you take care of a struggling child and elderly parents at the same time. I know what it is like to feel loss and isolation when your heart is ripped apart by death or divorce. I also know what it is like to have your support system drop you because you no longer fit in. I want to help you find ways to hang on to precious memories and still move forward with life.

I have been a mental health therapist for twenty three years. I believe in this work. I have been fortunate to be witness to the healing and growth that can take place through good therapy and hard work. Counseling can be a life changing process. In my career I have been fortunate to work with many wonderful professionals and with patients from all walks of life with a variety of issues stemming from mental health disorders and an endless number of life issues and problems.
