I help clients see that change and growth are an inside job. When people feel unhappy they often look to other people, career, money and substances to make them feel better. This doesn't work long-term and only creates dependencies that harm them. For many, struggles are rooted in childhood experiences with less than ideal parenting and attachment patterns. Helping my clients to resolve and move past family of origin wounds, identify and eliminate destructive beliefs from their childhood and the behavior created from these beliefs, allows clients the ability to embrace their own lives and opens the door into joy & personal freedom.

More and more people are having trouble knowing who they are or where they belong in life. What we were taught growing up or what we learn from society doesn't make sense or apply any longer. Because of this, we have difficulties from depression to questioning our own belief system. It may appear as confusion, anxiety, anger, or anything that disrupts our day-to-day life. When we feel this way it is a hurt or loss that is almost impossible to describe. My type of counseling presents people with an opportunity to understand why and how they think and feel the way they do and to go deeper than they could have possibly imagined.

I specialize in chronic pain/illness, complex trauma, sexual reclamation, and spiritual integration. As a somatic therapist, I believe that it is through working with the body and the mind together that the deepest healing is found. I am the life coach for therapists, healers, seekers, & dreamers. NO big Package by-ins--have 1 session at a time with no commitment--and I'll happily give referrals if I'm not the right healer for you. Good fits? Previous therapy experience, already has some understanding of personal 'stuck points' and want guidance, support, mentorship, & 'how-to' tools to live balanced, fulfilled, peaceful. Life is hard enough--easier with emotionally effective tools and strategies. I think my best work is in teaching people from difficult backgrounds how to fully, deeply, love and heal themselves, to get out of survival mode and into LIVING.

Finding a great therapist is about finding a great fit. My sweet spot is connecting with people in transition following big change; the end of a relationship, career change, adjusting to parenthood, or loss. I also have nearly a decade of experience treating eating disorders, and work with people navigating recovery in the outpatient setting. Finally, I enjoy working with caregivers- those who support loved ones who are struggling with their own mental health.

As children, we tend to be optimistic, with hopes and dreams for our future. We dream of becoming astronauts, ballerinas, firemen…and the idea of reaching our goals is as exciting as achieving them. Sometimes, on our way to adulthood, we lose that sense of magic. I hope to be able to help you restore the magic and rekindle your enthusiasm, curiosity, and love for life.

Welcome! My name is Erica (she/they). I specialize in working with both individuals and couples who have a desire to transform their life and their relationships. I support my clients with healing from the past and letting go of harmful patterns or limiting beliefs, so that they may grow into their most authentic, fully-expressed, and embodied self. I work with my clients in identifying the barriers that are in the way of having the life, friendships, community, and/or romantic relationships they want.
