I specialize in treating pre-teens, teens, adults, and families. I have over 20 years experience treating clients struggling with behavioral disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, stress and anger management, poor self-esteem and codependency, life transition issues, complicated grief reactions, childhood trauma, divorce and family adjustments related to remarriage, adoption, trauma and loss.

Therapy takes patience and openness from all whom are involved in the process. I have counseled couples, individuals, and families trying to manage psychological, emotional, and behavioral stressors. Many of my clients are seeking help with PTSD, grief/loss, eating/body image issues, family/relational situations, and sexual concerns.

Success, change, happiness, hope, kindness, balance - these, among other traits, are things that we strive for & work towards in life but at times feel like they are completely & totally out of reach. Sometimes there are roadblocks & barriers that make the future seem unobtainable and that there is nothing but darkness ahead. It's moments like these that define us. When we are at a crossroads and important choices need to be made - this is where I come in. I wish to offer support, guidance, and help with the hope and intention that together, change can happen, skills can be built and goals can be attained.

I believe that life is a journey, and with every journey there are bumps in the road. Issues may come up in life that lead to feelings of confusion, anxiety, anger, or depression. It may help to find a person that will listen and can offer a helping hand on that road. I feel that with my years of experience and objective approach, I can be that person. Psychotherapy work begins with a view that human beings are health-seeking and 'risk-takers.' My style as a therapist is to nurture and to collaborate with you as you confront challenge. My practice is creative, alive, and rooted in contact and relationship. I will collaborate with you to support your development into the healthy person you were meant to be. We may work indoors or in nature, with conventional talk therapy or experientially. Therapy sessions begin with a 50-yard walk from your parked car to the office-cabin amongst hay fields, trails, horses and ponds.
