I have worked in a variety of settings over my 25 years of practice. These experiences have prepared me to treat a wide variety of issues. My first work experience was in an adolescent treatment center and with children in foster care. I have worked as a psychotherapist treating individuals and families.I have worked closely with the Psychiatry staff and school staff treating children and adolescents with a team approach. I also worked as a school counselor where I became aware of the stresses and issues for both children and educators in the school system.

She has a Master of Art in Psychology and a Master of Science in Sociology from Southern Methodist University and a Masters of Professional Counseling from The American School of Psychology at Argosy University. Amy has been in the field of mental health for more than 25 years in a variety of settings, ranging from Residential Treatment Facilities, Schools, Family Courts, Teen Shelters, Intensive Home-based Therapy and Transitional Living Programs.

I know how much anxiety comes with trying to get yourself out of that alone. Therapy can be anything you need it to be. It can be a safe space to release and understand some pretty scary emotions.
