I have experience working with depression, anxiety, self harm, hopelessness, suicidal thoughts, relationship issues as well as Christian counseling. Though not a registered play therapist I really love working alongside parents to help address family or child/teen behavioral concerns. I have worked in a variety of settings ranging from hospitals and out-patient clinics to private practice.

I have always had a passion for working with kids and teens, and I truly enjoy every connection I make with my clients. My job is simply to provide a safe, warm space where they can feel comfortable being themselves, and together we discover ways to meet their goals. I have experience working with all ages, but I primarily work with ages 8 to 18. I help kids and teens with problems of depression, anxiety, anger, bullying, self-esteem, LGBTQ+ issues, behavior problems, relational problems, school issues, and grief/loss.

Christi Moreno is a Licensed Professional Counselor at Comfort and Joy Therapy. She received her MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from a CACREP program and enjoys working with children (7+), adolescents, and adults of all ages. She enters every counseling relationship with a person-centered approach and uses a variety of counseling techniques and theories as appropriate for specific client situations.
