I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I earned my Masters of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University, where I focused on play therapy, adolescent therapy, and family play therapy. I completed my internship at a local non-profit working with children and adolescents who have experienced a wide array of trauma, including physical and sexual abuse. While at my internship, I worked with children, adolescents, families, and groups, with a wide range of concerns, such as anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, life adjustments, and mood related issues.

Our goal is to provide practical, research-based strategies to parents of children experiencing significant emotional and behavioral difficulties. Similarly, we utilize effective, research-based cognitive-behavioral strategies when working with child and adolescent clients experiencing social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.

Counseling provides a means to healing. I specialize in treating clients who are at least 6 years old through adults. Children may face difficulties with anger management, bullying, physical aggression; difficulties in school, with peers or family members; and defiance. Issues for others may include but not limited to building coping skills for parenting, anxiety, depression, anger, grief, divorce/separation, teen pregnancy, domestic violence, physical/sexual abuse; sexual assault, P.T.S.D., relationship issues, communication skills, and conflict resolution.
