The people I work with are often experiencing some type of psychic pain and want to alleviate that. They may come in because of difficulties with partners, family, friends, issues with their job, body image, disordered eating, or self esteem concerns. Possibly, they are having intra-psychic conflicts like anxiety and depression. I help people relieve these symptoms while using therapy to bring joy and satisfaction in client’s relationships, work, and self-regard-- simultaneously helping them grow to their most fully realized selves.
I have done over ten years of psychoanalytic institute training, which means that after obtaining my master’s in social work, I went on to study further, to have a deep theoretical base and years of practical experience as a clinician, in order to best assist clients. I enjoy a diverse practice and often work with the LGBTQ+ community, women and new parents.
With me, you will find a knowledgable, kind, and genuine person that listens intently and asks questions to elucidate a greater understanding of your experience. My training is in modern psychotherapy which means that my roots are traditional, but my approach is eclectic, in that I vary my technique based on what will best help you to reach your goals.
