As an individual who was raised between two cultures, I offer a warm and safe space to discuss cultural competency as it relates to your life. Retaining your cultural values and traditions while simultaneously assimilating to the societal norms of your geographic upbringing can lead to many questions about ourselves in the past, present and future. I believe strongly in your ability to grow if nurtured in an encouraging environment.
For many minorities, there is a stigma toward psychotherapy; it’s not spoken about with their friends and family. I work with individuals and couples and speak Hindi. I also enjoy helping parents navigate the challenges of parenting, from infancy through the teen years. I bring new perspectives to help ease the transitions of each phases of a child's life.
My approach is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy modality. Guided into self-analysis, together we will dive into the space between stimulus and response and uncover our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
