I believe in meeting you where you are at in life and developing a plan that is tailored to meet your specific needs. Every individual is unique and requires a different approach to reach their goals. It is my opinion that the best way to begin therapy is through empathy and a true understanding of someone's story in order to build a powerful therapeutic alliance, create trust and develop rapport. My approach as a therapist tends to be somewhat non traditional, informal and laid back. You are the expert of your life. My role is to listen and understand in order to help you develop confidence and skills to conquer life's challenges.
I have experience with patients of all ages but am most passionate about working with young adults/adults. I have been told that I offer a warm, friendly and safe environment. Areas of expertise include anxiety/depression, academic stress, trauma, and working with first responders, their spouses and/or family members.
I understand that being vulnerable is challenging and overwhelming. It is through trust and connection that we can build the courage and strength to face our struggles together. My goal is to support you in finding your courage and confidence to face your unique challenges and become stronger in spite of them. It wont be easy but it will be worth it.
