Or maybe you are newly single; or an adolescent that is trying to communicate with parents that seem unable to understand. I earned my Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling at The University of The Rockies. I am a compassionate counselor who meets a client where they are and offers what is necessary to move past the pain and come out on the other side. I enjoy working with Individuals, families, couples, women and girls who have a history of sexual abuse or sex trafficking, and parents of children with disabilities. Other areas that I work with is depression, anxiety, emotional abuse, grief and loss, sex addiction, sexual health and wellness, and anger management.

Our private practice has two locations, in Pueblo and Canon City Colorado.   We are an intimate group of therapists striving to meet individuals where they are in the journey to better mental health. My goal is to create a safe and supportive space for you. Everyone seeks therapy for different reasons; I work with each client individually to identify your own goals. I believe the most critical aspect to therapy is the relationship therapist and client, I work hard to build trust and create a strong, caring connection. I enjoy working with college students, those in transition and seeking supports and who are part of the LGBTQIA2S+ community! I am strongly anti-racist in my work and acknowledge how power and privilege impact a persons life.

I provide mental health services to address anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, grief, ADHD, OCD, and substance use. We can work to resolve any personal issues you may be having within yourself or with your relationships with family, friends, or coworkers. I also offer life-coaching where we can work to change any outdated narratives that may be holding you back from living the life of your dreams.

My approach to therapy is one focused on the relationship between client and counselor. The trust within the session is the foundation of therapy. I have worked in inpatient, outpatient,crisis intervention and community settings. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have enjoyed working in Colorado Springs as a therapist for the past 20+ years with both individuals and group counseling. We all experience emotional pain, physical pain or a combination of the two at different times in our lives. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to establish a collaborative effort with my clients to modify beliefs, assumptions and behaviors with the goal of solving emotional and behavioral problems. My background is in school counseling and my passion is working with teens/kids. I worked for 3 years as a school counselor before switching to my LPC and doing private practice. There I also focused my practice on meeting the needs of teens/kids and working with families as well. I most recently worked in the community with a foster care agency, again working with kids/teens before going back to private practice. I do enjoy working with teens/families but also see individuals of all ages as well as couples.
