I treat a number of behavioral health disorders, and provides an empathic, collaborative therapeutic approach to guide patients towards goals of treatment. I help individuals, families, and couples work through a variety of struggles, including trauma, anxiety, emotional regulation, ineffective communication, and life adjustments. My goal when working with a client is to identify the problem, create an action plan, and work toward goals.

Beginning therapy means different things to each of us, but it's often an action of courage, hope, self-care, & self-determination. With over a decade of experience working closely with children and families, I have cultivated a deep understanding of attachment dynamics & the profound significance of human connection in shaping our development. Central to my practice is the exploration of how our narratives shape our perceptions of self & the world around us. While my professional experiences have been invaluable, it is my personal experiences as a fellow human being that makes me deeply passionate about supporting others.

We all have struggles, we all fall short, we have times when we feel we do not measure up, we have crisis, we feel sad and depressed, maybe anxious at times. I do in office and/or virtual appts, Ages 13 and up. I use a HIPPA format that is private, free for virtual. I specialize in trauma PTSD, bariatric issues, sexual ,physical abuse, domestic violence, grief, &neglect. I use several different approaches to best serve my clients. I see a variety of clients that include multiple cultural differences, sexualities& diverse backgrounds. I do not take Soonercare/Medicaid as primary insurance, only secondary. No Marriage or couples counseling

I approach counseling with the belief that we are all seeking to understand truth and a meaningful life. My graduate training was an interactive strengths-based approach to treating creative and gifted adolescents who often felt alienated by value systems beyond their choosing. My goal as a clinician is to help clients understand the origin of their emotional struggle, and in doing so, we will reveal solutions to cognitive dissonance resulting from competing value systems. My name is Angie and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and graduated from the University of Oklahoma. I have been working as a counselor for over 8 years, and prior to that as a Masters level Social Worker for the State of Oklahoma with at risk families. I am a Licensed Therapist and a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor with over 30 years of professional experience in helping clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and addiction. I am very passionate about working with adults, and teens struggling with the conflict that occurs from anxiety, depression, family relationship struggles or alcohol and drug abuse and addiction. I also work with war veterans struggling with depression, anxiety and/or PTSD. I have many years of professional experience working in the intensive outpatient unit at Laureate and in the outpatient setting both at Laureate and Carole's Hope.
