Sometimes the families that look perfect on the outside struggle behind closed doors. Moms are grappling to make picture-perfect Pinterest parties for kids who barely speak to them, make sure her parents can still live independently, connect to husbands who are trying to succeed amid the stresses of work, all while surpassing expectations at the office. It's hard to explain to your teenager why they should have to work for their trip to Europe because it builds "character", in a Kardashian society.
I assist clients in taking a step back to see what works and what doesn't. My primary focus as a counselor is in working with stressed out moms, gifted and LGBT adolescents, and the families who look they have it all together but feel like they are falling apart.
I don't view people as sick and I don't see my clients as patients. I work with you to take an honest look at what's working in your life and what isn't. We will make goals and a plan to get you quickly back in action!
