I enjoy helping my clients build resilience, hope, and courage in their lives. I work with adults and teenagers who are seeking to improve their responses to stress, anxiety, and adversity. My specialties include helping people improve their emotional intelligence, helping people strengthen their recovery from addiction, and working with athletes who are looking to improve their mental health. Improving our mental health directly affects our performance, whether we are on the sports field, in the gym, at home, or our workplace.

I work with a range of clients and issues, but specialize in dissociation and complex trauma in addition to work with teens, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My biggest strengths as a counselor are my empathy and open-mindedness. I meet clients where they are at, tailoring our work to your preferences and needs, whether you would benefit most from talk therapy, skill building, trauma processing, or a combination of these. This supports building individualized treatment plans and applying creative and validating techniques.

Have you experienced a trauma in your life which you are finding to be difficult to cope with? Are you noticing your past wounds are impacting who you are today? Moving forward after a traumatic event can be difficult. I aim to provide my clients with a secure and accepting environment. My ideal client would come to session ready to process difficult things while they curl up on my couch and feel at home in my office space. Although I have seen clients of all ages and diagnoses, I feel the most comfortable with teen and adult aged clients who are currently experiencing PTSD, anxiety, and/or depression.

I am Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. I offer Telemental Health therapy services utilizing evidenced based play therapy and systemic therapeutic approaches with children ages 8-18, parents and families facing a variety of life challenges including grief, loss, trauma, anxiety, depression, parental divorce and/or family adjustment stressors as well as pre-marital and couples counseling during various life stages. I assist clients to address current life stressors for achieving emotional, social, relational, behavioral growth, resiliency and well being. Additionally I offer LMFT and RPT Supervision for Masters, Doctoral and Post-Graduate level interns.
