I see individuals ages 8-26. I offer individual and family therapy sessions. My sessions are very unique in that I allow a place for kiddos to be kiddos. My favorite part of my job is when a client tells me, "I never thought therapy could be like this." or "This makes so much sense." Kiddos are in a state of development that can be either extremely scary or exciting. What makes the difference is when they and loved ones understand this process on a cognitive, emotional, and physiological level. Then behaviors and responses become more clear and how to handle them becomes more effective.

There comes a time when you realize that you need help. "Faith is taking the first step, even when you don't see the whole staircase", MLK Jr. I believe no one wants to live in misery and the first step is asking for help. I believe in helping others to reaffirm their positivity and build on the ones that are struggles. My goal in therapy is for my clients to feel at ease and know they are not alone. To help them deal with the multitude of issues that sometimes can bring pain and help them on the path of healing.

I work with a range of clients and issues, but specialize in dissociation and complex trauma in addition to work with teens, young adults, and the LGBTQIA+ community. My biggest strengths as a counselor are my empathy and open-mindedness. I meet clients where they are at, tailoring our work to your preferences and needs, whether you would benefit most from talk therapy, skill building, trauma processing, or a combination of these. This supports building individualized treatment plans and applying creative and validating techniques.
