My therapeutic approach is grounded in positive regard: I recognize that each client has a complex history and am committed to creating an environment where you can openly explore your internal and external experiences, free from judgment and criticism. I prioritize a collaborative therapeutic relationship, where you can retain autonomy and agency throughout the process. Above all, the quality of the therapeutic relationship can often be the biggest contributing factor to successful therapeutic outcomes, so it’s okay to be picky!
I provide therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families (ages 11 and up). Through a systemic, developmental, and collaborative lens, I utilize empathy, humor, and unconditional positive regard to equip my clients with the tools necessary to navigate and overcome mental health challenges. I employ a gentle, but direct approach.
Emotional wounds can both occur and heal in relational contexts. Therapy should be a safe and judgment-free environment where you can explore your internal world without the expectations of reciprocal emotional labor found in traditional relationships. This kind of safety is my hope for everyone’s healing journey, and it is an honor to provide it.
