I have extensive experience working with parenting struggles, trauma, ADHD, & chronic illness.
Parenting is difficult as is, but throw in trauma, mental health, and/or chronic illness, and it can feel like we're always treading water with no end in sight. As a chronic illness mama myself, I know how hard it can be to balance caring for our health & our kids! For over 10 years, I have been working with children, teens, & adults. I love working with parents & kids to assist them in meeting whatever goals they have from reprocessing trauma, building self esteem, or managing life transitions. Life can be hard, & I love helping others to recognize all the things worth celebrating in it especially themselves!

As the leading specialist for adult female Autism & ADHD, I will help you learn how your neurodivergent brain works, and what your true core beliefs are, so you can be you and stop masking to try to "fit in" to society.
Are you a high-achieving adult woman (or AFAB) questioning Autism or ADHD? Do you feel different than everyone else, like you're not "normal?" Do feel socially awkward and experience sensory concerns? You are hardworking and goal-oriented, but often feel overwhelmed to the point of feeling like you are having a meltdown. You strive to put your needs first, but struggle with perfectionism and self-limiting beliefs. It’s exhausting feeling out of control, but the good news is, together, we can help you discover your authentic self, accommodate your own needs, and develop effective coping skills so you can excel in life.

Currently accepting new clients with little to no waitlist. I have a strong focus on adult ADHD, burnout, perfectionism and dealing with a loud inner critic. The "vibe" would be warm and understanding, with a touch of humor and millennial burnout. Whether it is looking to the past for understanding, finding ways to connect to the present, or cultivating hope for the future, I make sure to provide an authentic, warm and supportive space for clients to improve their connection to themselves and the world around them. I consider myself an ally for the LGBTQIA+ community and neurodivergent friendly.

My areas of speciality include stress and anxiety, managing ADHD, burn-out, and high-stress careers. I work with people around their interpersonal relationships and their relationship with themselves, with realistic understanding of the demands of the modern world. I offer comprehensive ASD, ADHD and/or gifted evaluations with nearly 10 years of experience conducting and supervising evaluations in the schools & UW.
“What matters?” This is one of the most important questions I can ask of my clients. Without knowing what matters what they are passionate about, neither of us know why we are in the “room." To figure out the why (Why WOULD I do my homework, why would I go to practice, etc.) gives us a meaningful direction. Also let’s talk about fun. Isn’t that the whole point of NOT being an adult? If I’m not enjoying the session, I can bet my client is definitely not. I work hard to ensure a relaxed and welcoming environment that is filled filled with unconditional positive regard, hard work, humor, flexibility and appreciation, and fun.

When should I seek treatment for ADHD?

You should seek treatment for ADHD if you consistently have difficulty with attention, hyperactivity, or impulsivity that interferes with your daily life. Symptoms of ADHD include the inability to sustain attention during tasks, difficulty organizing tasks and activities, being easily distracted, frequent fidgeting or squirming, and talking or interrupting excessively. If these symptoms interfere with your career, academics, or relationships—for example, consistently failing to complete professional projects on time—you should seek an evaluation for ADHD.

How does treatment for ADHD work?

Effective treatment for ADHD often consists of medication, behavioral therapy, and lifestyle changes. Stimulant medications such as Adderall and Ritalin work by altering levels of neurotransmitters in the brain; higher levels of dopamine and norepinephrine are known to improve attention and focus. Therapy works by helping people with ADHD understand the condition, discuss their areas of difficulty, and develop behavioral strategies to manage their symptoms. In some cases, modifying one’s diet and exercise can also help improve symptoms.

Are there specific medications for ADHD?

Medications to treat ADHD are generally stimulants, the most common are Adderall and Ritalin. There are two categories of stimulants: Amphetamines include Adderall, Dyanavel, Vyvanse, and Dexedrine, and methylphenidates include Ritalin, Concerta, Daytrana, Focalin, Quillichew, Quillivant, and Metadate. Non-stimulants and antidepressants may be used as an alternative if stimulants aren’t effective or viable for a particular patient.

How long does treatment for ADHD take?

It’s tough to give an exact time frame because everyone varies. In terms of medications, stimulants begin to work very soon after you take them, generally within the hour. It may take time to identify the right medication and dosage, but the medication itself is fast-acting. In terms of therapy, it takes time to develop skills and put them into practice, but you will likely see improvements within a few weeks or months.
