Parents sometimes face very important questions about their children, including: Does my child have ADHD or a learning disability? Why is my daughter having so many social difficulties? Is my son's defiance a normal part of his development? Is my teenager depressed? Are my child's worries normal for someone her age? Does my preschooler have a developmental delay? Is my child gifted? Is my daughter suffering post-concussion syndrome after her sports-related injury? Psychological and neuropsychological evaluations are used to answer these and other questions about a child’s development and needs.

I enjoy helping those struggling with unfulfilled at work/career/school, video game addiction, ADHD, codependency, break ups, health anxiety, obsessive thoughts, depression, bullying, social anxiety, life changes, loneliness, and identity struggles.
Whether you're a teen growing into an independent adult or a young professional working a job in tech, life is never shy about bringing you stress. How do you cope with that stress? As men, we often isolate, hide our emotions, disappear into gaming, work, social media, or exercise, have destructive relationships, and often while putting others before ourselves. Holding in these stresses and trying to "fix it" alone can weigh on your mind, and it can come out in ways that make life harder on you. I can provide a space where we focus on you, and we ask where are things challenging for you, and how can things be better?

I also specialize in helping adults and college students with ADHD recognize their challenges and strengths.
The stress of everyday life can often feel overwhelming to us, creating confusion and fear. I believe that our early relationships and past experiences offer the key that can unlock the mysteries of why we often feel at odds with the world around us. I also believe the body and brain hold onto traumatic events and affect our current functioning. I approach therapy from a psychodynamic perspective, creating a safe holding environment to explore those relationships and influences. I would be honored to help you achieve your goals and assist you in creating increased contentment in your life.

Learn how to: Stay in the present when your mind gets stuck in the past or in future-tripping. Distract from, cope with, and shift your perspective on stressful situations and overwhelming emotions. Figure out what you are feeling and lower the intensity. Increase your confidence, ask for what you want, and add more satisfaction to your relationships. I encourage my group members to remain with their current individual therapist throughout group treatment. I will coordinate care with your providers to provide the most effective wraparound services. If you are looking for an individual therapist, I have resources available.

ADHD Therapists
Some children and adults with ADHD find it difficult to concentrate on tasks at school or work and may daydream frequently. Children with ADHD may become disruptive, defiant, or have trouble getting along with parents, peers, or teachers. Children who struggle with hyperactivity and impulsivity, in particular, often have behavioral challenges that can be difficult for adults to manage. Adults, on the other hand, may be more likely to report feeling restless or fidgety; if they struggle with impulsivity, they may make rash decisions that adversely affect their life. For both children and adults, executive functioning (planning, emotional regulation, and decision-making) is often affected as well. Many children and adults display either hyperactive or inattentive symptoms of ADHD, but it’s also possible for both sets of symptoms to exist together, in what is typically called combined type ADHD.

If you're looking for a Seattle ADHD therapist, these professionals provide ADHD therapy and counseling in Seattle.
